1. Scan the video
Allow CommentCrate on YouTube once, open the giveaway video, press Scan comments and wait until it is done. Replies are scanned with Pro. See how to export YouTube comments for the details.
2. Set the rules
Open the Giveaway tool and choose the rules you announced: one entry per person, a keyword the comment must contain, words or people to exclude, how many winners and backups. The tool shows how many comments qualify before you draw.
3. Draw and keep the record
Press Draw. The winners are picked at random on your computer and shown ranked, with backups. Save the record as PDF, Excel or JSON: it lists the rules, the number of entries, the winners and the time of the draw. Keep it as your proof. See the giveaway record.
What is different on YouTube
- YouTube shows only relative times (“2 weeks ago”), so a date range cannot be applied: comments without an exact date are left out when you set one.
- Winners are shown as @handles; a winner’s name opens their channel when YouTube gives a handle.
