Scan the replies under your giveaway post, set the rules and draw winners and backups in your browser.
1. Scan the replies
Allow CommentCrate on Bluesky once, open the giveaway post, press Scan comments and wait until it is done. Every reply counts as a comment on the post. The details are in how to export Bluesky replies.
2. Set the rules
Open the Giveaway tool and choose the rules you announced: one entry per person, a word the reply must contain, tagged friends, accounts to exclude (yours, your partners’), how many winners and backups. The tool shows how many replies qualify before you draw. A Bluesky handle is unique, so two people are never merged.
3. Draw and keep the record
Press Draw. The winners are picked at random on your computer and shown ranked, with backups. Save the record as PDF, Excel or JSON and keep it as your proof: the giveaway record.
Good to know
- Bluesky shows a visitor fewer replies than the number it prints. On a post with several hundred replies we read about 190, so look at the count before you draw.
- Bluesky shows only relative times, so a date range cannot be used. Scan right after your deadline, because replies posted later cannot be filtered out afterwards.
- The extension cannot check who follows you or who reposted. Look a winner’s handle up on Bluesky to check the entry yourself.
- A trial draw with one winner is free; several winners, backups and the saved record are Pro.
