X (Twitter) giveaway picker: draw winners from the replies

Scan the replies under your giveaway post, set the rules and draw winners and backups in your browser.

1. Scan the replies

Allow CommentCrate on X once, open the giveaway post while you are logged in, press Scan comments and wait until it is done. Replies to replies are read as replies to the post. The details are in how to export X replies.

2. Set the rules

Open the Giveaway tool and choose the rules you announced: one entry per person, a word the reply must contain, tagged friends, accounts to exclude (yours, your partners’), how many winners and backups. The tool shows how many replies qualify before you draw. An X handle is unique, so two people are never merged. X gives the exact time of every reply, so you can count only the replies posted before your deadline.

3. Draw and keep the record

Press Draw. The winners are picked at random on your computer and shown ranked, with backups. A winner’s name opens their X profile. Save the record as PDF, Excel or JSON and keep it as your proof: the giveaway record.

Good to know

  • X holds some replies back behind a “Show probable spam” button and hides others completely. With Pro and replies switched on, the scan presses that button, but what X still does not show cannot be read. On a post X counted 177 replies for, we read 148.
  • The extension cannot check who follows your account or who reposted. Click a winner’s name to open the profile and check the entry yourself.
  • X support is new and has been tested the least: look at the count and the first rows of your file before you draw.
  • A trial draw with one winner is free; several winners, backups and the saved record are Pro.
  • X has its own rules for promotions, and you are responsible for them and for the law in your country: fair giveaway checklist.
