How to export comments together with their replies
Replies are part of Pro. Each reply row says which comment it answers, so you can rebuild the thread in a spreadsheet.
What you get
With Pro and Include replies switched on, the scan opens the replies under every comment and writes them as rows of their own. The parentId column holds the id of the comment a reply answers; a top-level comment has it empty. Filter that column in Excel or Google Sheets to see only top-level comments or only replies.
Which sites give the parent
On Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Facebook each reply carries the id of its parent. On X and Bluesky the page does not say which reply answers which, so every reply is exported as a comment on the post, with an empty parent column.
The free plan
The free plan exports top-level comments only, up to 200 per post. Replies, unlimited comments, JSON and PDF are part of Pro: pricing.
In a giveaway
The giveaway tool can count replies as entries or leave them out. Decide this before you announce the rules and keep it in the saved record: the giveaway record.
Good to know
- Scanning replies takes longer, because the extension opens every thread. Big videos take several minutes: keep the tab open and in front.
- If the panel says some comments still have fewer replies than the site lists, press Scan again.
- The number a site prints includes replies and can include deleted ones: why an export has fewer comments than the post shows.
